Native American Roots

I am from New England in the United States. One of my ancestors was of the Abenaki people, and she shared her wisdom and culture with her children, and they with theirs... and this is how my grandfather came to share her message, stories, and culture with me.  Although not a tribal member, I have deep respect and reverence for the gift of her heritage, and for her- our- people.

Guided imagery, backed by native American stories, myths, and legends, can be a powerful tool. The stories help us explore the meaning of life, our relationship with nature, and so our human nature as well. I am a trained hypnotist, and so can build a relaxing and enriching meditation experience.

Art and Craft Activities

Creative expression linked to stories... make a dream catcher, find and create an image of your spirit animal, sing the "water song", learn how to make a beaded necklace or use a bead loom... chant with drums... make a medicine wheel of your own...

Coaching

Working with the Medicine Wheel and using stories as guidance, individuals can develop personally, professionally, and spiritually. The medicine wheel is a traditional tool through which we learn about our lives and our relationship with nature and the universe.

Talks

Whether an after-dinner talk, a session at an event, or a discussion for a social group, story telling gives individuals a different perspective, an opportunity to reflect and grow, and a chance to develop new strengths, understanding, and insight.

Children

Working with children through story-telling is especially rewarding. Children from all backgrounds and abilities can participate and gain insight into themselves... or, just have fun. Or both, it's up to them. I have worked with children with special needs, and tailor activities to ensure a positive, enjoyable experience.

I am a Registered Nurse and an entertainer registered with Equity. I have liability insurance and professional indemnity.

I am an LGBTQ+ ally, and I support the rights of all people to be part of an inclusive, welcoming society.

Stories speak to people from the widest range of backgrounds and ages... they are inclusive and celebrate diversity.
